How the tool works, and what happens after you send us a layout.
Do I have to know my exact yard size?
No. Start with the default and adjust the width and depth in the panel on the right once you've paced it out. Most backyards in Jackson run between 60 and 150 feet across. If you're close, we'll confirm the real measurements when we come out.
How much room does a table of eight really need?
About 100 square feet. A 60-inch round table is only five feet across, but the chairs pull out another two feet on every side and guests need room to walk behind them. The planner budgets that for you, which is why a 40 × 80 tent holds around 29 tables and not the 100 you'd get from the raw arithmetic.
What are the dots in the middle of my tent?
Centre poles. Our tents are pole tents, held up from the middle as well as the edges, and nothing can sit where those poles land. The planner draws them in to scale and the one-click layouts work around them, which is the part that's easy to forget until the day of.
Is the plan I build binding?
No. It's a planning tool, and it's free to use whether or not you rent from us. When you send it over we check it against the real tent, your ground conditions, and the access our truck needs, then price it. Call (517) 917-5447 if you'd rather just talk it through.
Can I come back to my layout later?
Yes. It saves in this browser automatically, so it'll still be here next time on this device. Press Share to get a short link to it instead: that one opens on any phone or computer, needs no sign-up, and is the one to send your partner, your caterer, or us. The PNG button saves a picture of it.
